I placed the dark shadow in the foreground in zone 3 because I wanted the scene to feel darker and more moody than I would have gotten had I placed the shadows in zone 4 as I normally do. With the 2/3 of a stop overexposure, this still resulted in a scene that was too bright, so I dropped the exposure a bit in Lightroom and added some contrast to get the scene to look more like what my eye experienced at that moment in time.
