One of my favorites from this roll! I made sure to keep the shutter speed slow so that the man on the bike would be blurred slightly to reinforce his movement. I also kept the scene relatively bright, placing the shadows in zone 5 and letting the sky fall into zones 7-8, in order to mimic the brightness that I felt at the time. I dropped the shadows and blacks in post processing to add some contrast. It’s pretty unbelievable how much detail the film was able to hold despite shooting directly into the sun…if this was done with a digital camera I’m pretty sure the result would look terrible…
