week thirty-eight — the shadow of the church

yesterday’s sunrise photo adventure, while being successful, was somewhat disappointing due to the perfectly clear skies. a clear sunrise may be beautiful, but it just seems so boring compared to what it could be with some fluffy clouds accentuating the colors. i was still able to get my fix yesterday, however, as the sunset was extremely striking.

after a full day of good food, good drinks, good company, and an awesome tour of the Koval distillery, we headed up to our roof just in time to catch the sunset. the colors were spectacular (i didn’t alter them at all in post processing…not even adjusting vibrancy or saturation) and the St. Alphonsus church provided a great foreground for a silhouette. a few other of my favorite shots from this brief photo shoot can be found here. enjoy!
