week sixty — in-waiting

this week’s shot comes from yesterday’s photo walk through Greektown/Fulton Market. the original intent was to do some street photography, but Lindsay and i’s aimless wandering seemed to continuously take us further away from people. while this might seem contradictory to the whole aim of street photography, having a little space and taking things slow actually opened up a lot of possibilities. when shooting in Chicago, i’ve always been drawn to big cityscapes, but the more i shoot here the more i appreciate seeking and capturing the tiny details of the city…and there’s no better way to do so than slowly walking through the neighborhoods, camera ready and waiting.
