30 Days with the Fuji 35mm f2: Day Six

Today’s shot ties into the WordPress weekly photo challenge. This goal this week is to shoot something that comes in threes. I’ve participated in the weekly photo challenge pretty often since I first heard about it a month or two ago (why it took me so long to come across it, I’ll never know), but pretty much all of my posts for the challenge were of shots that I had taken without the photo challenge in mind. In other words, I would read the challenge of the week, browse through my photo library, and post something that fit. And that always felt a bit like cheating…I’d much prefer to read the challenge and then go on a photo adventure where I try to snag a shot for the challenge. That seems much more sportsmanlike to me.

Since I had pigeonholed myself into posting images from just one lens over these 30 days, and since I hadn’t had the chance to stockpile any images prior to starting this little project, I really had no choice but to take my own advice and go on an adventure to find a shot that would satisfy the weekly photo challenge. I’ve been wandering around Old Town Fort Collins a lot lately in an attempt to find shots for this project, and on Sunday I stumbled across this storefront on College Ave. I knew that the photo challenge for the week was trio, and my subconscious had been on the lookout for groups of threes…so these chairs practically jumped out of my peripheral vision and grabbed me!
