30 Days with the Fuji X-Pro3: Day 3

Continuing on the theme of imperfections today, I want to talk about Fuji’s 35mm f/1.4 lens. This is one of Fuji’s original X series lens, and despite releasing a few newer 50mm-equivalent lenses since then it’s still widely regarded as one of the “best” lenses for the system. I put best in quotes because I want to clarify that best does not mean most perfect…most notably, it suffers from a few of the lens issues that I mentioned yesterday like chromatic aberration. It has a beautiful rendering, though, and its unique combination of frustrating flaws with magical output feels right at home on the Fuji X-Pro3.
