30 Days with the Fuji X-Pro3: Day 19
Today’s photo comes from another snowy Colorado hike, but I switched it up from my standard approach and shot this in color. I also edited this in Capture One (I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but Capture One does a much better job of processing Fuji X-Trans files compared to Lightroom) and used their color grading tools to warm up the highlights and cool down the shadows. This creates some really nice color contrast on the rolling hills and helps the image pop a little bit.
The subject matter for this image is kinda rough. This hike goes through an area that was burned by a wildfire back in 2012, and it’s sad to see how little it’s recovered. With the Cameron Peak fire hitting the mountains just to the west and the East Troublesome Fire hitting the mountains just to the southwest of me earlier this year, there’s going to be a lot more of these views in my favorite hiking areas…
