May was a wonderful month, both for life and for photography. The weather was turning (I’m writing this in October when the weather’s doing a 180 in the opposite direction, oddly enough) and there was a lot of positivity in the air. We take our cue from the changing of the seasons, and when I look back on these photos I feel the joy and excitement that comes from longer days and warmer weather.
Winter hadn’t left us completely, though, and my favorite photographs from this month came from a snowy hike in in the mountains. I took a set of panoramic images from the summit, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. The moody, ominous storm clouds rolling over the adjacent peaks remind us that Mother Nature is always to be respected, even (and perhaps especially) when the weather warms and we have a tendency to let our guard down.
