week thirty-one — liberate

every once in awhile, something in the world jumps out and grabs you. it sinks its teeth in your psyche and won’t let go.

as was the case when i came across this scene in the midst of a two week solitary road trip through the heart of the United States. traveling alone through nature has a way of heightening both your sense of connection to nature and your sense of vulnerability, and these effects collided at full force in Grand Teton National Park. it’s hard for me to put into words the profound effect this moment had on me, but i’ll forever remember it.

and i’ll forever be grateful i was carrying a camera and was able to share a tiny sliver of that moment with others.
