This week’s WordPress photo challenge is about doing something with care. The shot I chose for this week is of some beautiful street art in Denver along the Cherry Creek bike path near Confluence Park. It’s obvious that the artist took great care in the creation of this…mural? And what I like about shooting street art and graffiti is that the original artist’s care serves as inspiration for me to apply care to my own work (including, of course, the processing of the images I made of their work). In this case, the original shot was made in flat, indirect light, and I had to spend some time bringing the colors back to life and coaxing the contrast into providing the visual depth that the painting imprints on you when you’re viewing it full size in person.
